Personnel Administration (PA)
This module allows for the administration of employees or personnel. Organizations are able to simplify regular administrative tasks on employee related information, saving time and cost. Through the Personnel Administration or PA module, actions can be taken that include but are not limited to hiring, confirmation, transfer, promotion, and separation. PA stores and allows for the modification of an employees personal data, payroll status, time, basic pay, bank details, family data, identifications, address, and more.
Organizational Management (OM)
The SAP HCM Organizational Management or OM module provides a view of an organization in the past, present, and projected future. The information in this module allows the organization to visualize, prepare, plan, anticipate, and react to human capital needs. It provides a consolidated and integrated organizational structure, as well as central reporting. OM provides tools to manage the organizational chart, employee positions, managerial positions, associated cost assignments, workforce reporting, and other organizational management functions.
Payroll
SAP Payroll is robust and has some of the most comprehensive functionality in the industry, consistently adapted to address changes in tax calculations. It is a multinational solution that integrates with both SAP HCM and SuccessFactors modules, allowing for immediate gross-to-net calculations. It can be integrated seamlessly with SAP ERP Financials, allowing for the transfer of payroll data for accounting and banking operations. Time Management ™
The SAP HCM Time Management module enables employers to manage an employee’s daily working hours, absences and time-related payments like overtime. Time Management also allows for absence quota and compensation calculation for unused absence time allowances. Some of the most important features include monitors for human cost, documents progress of process, processing of invoices, records external employee services, confirms service management orders, and collects data plans and sheets.
Employee & Manager Self-Service (ESS & MSS)
Employee Self Services or ESS is a web-enabled portal allowing employees to update personal information on their own. SAP HCM Manager Self Service or MSS is also a web-enabled portal used by managers of employees to update subordinate employee information or access reports. Included in these modules is the ability to manage the leave request and approval process. MSS also supports task management for budgeting, task planning, and project management. ESS allows employees to create, display, and change their own data. Both MSS and ESS reduce some of the time consuming and costly activities done by HR professionals.
Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW)
Most organizations that move to SAP HCM are coming from a different HR system. It contains legacy human resource data. The SAP HCM Legacy System Migration Workbench is a cross-platform tool in the SAP system that allows organizations to transfer critical human resource data. It reads data, converts it, and imports it into the SAP HCM system.
Workflow
SAP Workflow is a tool designed to enable and automate business processes with task that are to be performed by people. Put simply, it saves time and makes it easier to get things done by the right person, at the right time, and in the order it needs to be done. SAP Business Workflow is designed to minimize the effort needed to setup processes in the system and has workflow templates for each sample process in HCM Processes and Forms.
